Iron Calc is offline-first: your training data never leaves your device. This policy explains the limited data the app handles.
Your 1RM calculations, logged sets, personal records, plate inventory, and settings are saved locally on your device. We do not have a server, we do not have an account system, and we never receive, transmit, or have access to this data. Uninstalling the app or using “Clear all data” in Settings permanently removes it.
Optional daily reminder notifications and the home-screen widget are generated entirely on your device from this local data; they do not transmit anything off the device.
The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous usage (e.g. which screens are viewed and which features are used) so we can improve the app. Firebase may process:
This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally, and your training data (sets, PRs, weights) is never sent to Analytics. Processing is performed by Google. See firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
The app displays ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google’s SDK may collect and process:
This processing is performed by Google, not by us. In regions that require it (e.g. the EEA, UK), the app shows a consent prompt before personalized ads are served, using Google’s User Messaging Platform. On iOS, the app requests App Tracking Transparency permission. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how AdMob handles data.
The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change accordingly.
